The FortiGate-5001E also supports high-end FortiGate features including 802.1Q VLANs, multiple virtual domains,
802.3ad aggregate interfaces, and FortiOS Carrier.
- Two front panel 40GigE QSFP+ fabric channel (port1 and port2) accelerated by NP6 network processors. Using
40GBASE-SR10 multimode QSFP+ transceivers, port1 and port2 can also be split into four 10GBASE-SR
interfaces using the config system global set split-port command. - Two front panel 10GigE SFP+ fabric channel interfaces (port3 and port4) also accelerated by NP6 network
processors. These interfaces can also be configured to operate as Gigabit Ethernet interfaces using SFP
